I have a question about status and reward availability. I have no status, so I might not see what a Platinum sees, but even if I cannot see availability can I still book it (by calling UA)? Or does not seeing it mean I cannot book it?
I have no idea. In terms of code, UA must be hiding availability in some cases from lower or non-elites, rather than generating availability for the higher elites. At least, it seems it would work that way - ie the capacity is allocated, but only certain levels can see it. I'm sure a regular on this board has probably searched availability for friend or relative who subsequently could not book. Anyone?
