I wouldn't say it's not good to visit in the northern hemisphere spring/southern hemisphere autumn. Just different.

The winter (June) is the dry season so animals tend to congregate around water and there is less vegetation which makes it easier to see game.

On the other hand, the park will be more lush earlier in the year after the summer rain.
