I've had this happen a few times now. During drink service in Y, I've asked for the whole can. On UA, this has never been a problem - they've given it on request.

I've had several FA's tell me they couldn't do that. Of course, if I go to the back after they're done and ask them for a drink, they'll give me the whole can then.

Does US policy prevent them from giving the whole can, or have I just had less nice FA's?

It's not a big deal, but it's made me wonder.
