His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has instructed Dubai International Airport authorities to introduce prompt, effective measures to process transactions of inbound and outbound passengers without delay and regardless of their nationality, and cultural and religious backgrounds.
Sheikh Mohammed gave his instructions during a tour today of Dubai Airport’s to inspect progress of work, packages of services provided to passengers and other facilities.
Flanked by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Mohammed visited at Terminal 1, Concourse 1 and 2, and Emirates’ Terminal 3, where he inspected quality of travel formalities and talked with a group of passengers.
Sheikh Mohammed said procedures at check-in and check-out counters, baggage delivery carousels and passenger inspection points were ‘very good’ but not enough and instructed that more smooth and quicker services be introduced. He affirmed that land, sea and air ports were receiving his personal care and follow up so as to remain the civilised facade of ‘our people’ and the wide open entry gateways for all guests of the UAE. He instructed officials and staff at the airport to treat and welcome visitors with smile, respect and hospitality in a manner which reflects the traditions of the UAE’s culture.
