spg plat, when you said hotels had a higher redemption option, was that with more points or a cash co-pay?
It was always a special point redemption that required more points and it was only available by calling. But most hotels have higher point rates for the larger rooms too, so I would at least be sure that I booked a room that allowed 3 adults and sometimes we were charged for a rollaway and other times we weren't.
