My wife has her annual fee due on the CSP card. We are meeting min spends on 6 new cards so we are debating whether to keep the CSP card or downgrade to the no annual fee card. We have over 70K pts so I am thinking of transferring them to UA and/or Hyatt before she downgrades the card. We are keeping her Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton Reserve (new--Hilton Gold as long as the card is kept) & my Priority Club cards due to the ongoing value in free hotel nights that is worth more than their annual fees.
We are not big spenders (2-3K/month) on CC's and the "jungle" helps us for almost 2K/month extra spend. We are careful which cards we use in the "jungle".
She also has the Starwood personal AMEX (we cancelled her biz card) with a new 30K signup bonus. This is our "go to" card when we are not meeting min spends. She got 2 times 30K two years ago signing up for both biz & personal Starwoods. We find the Cash & Points very useful (Categories 2-4)in addition to the category 1 & 2 redemptions.
Bottom line: The Starwood card annual fee is only $65 and CSP annual fee is $95. For us smaller spenders, we are thinking that the Starwood card may be better. The "jury" is still out and we have a little time to decide concerning the CSP annual fee.
