I'm a newbie here, so please excuse me if this is a silly question. When I go to book FRA-LED one way in Mar 2013 on lufthansa.com the lowest prices it shows is 1053 EUR. For a 3 hour flight! In economy!

I tried searching many different days and it's about the same price. Eventually it occurred to me to search for a return fare (even though I only need one way) and the lowest return fare for the same day is 132.76 EUR. Now that's more in line with my expectations.

I've heard that one way fares can sometimes be more expensive than return fares, but nearly eight times more expensive?! What is going on here? Is this normal? (I mean - by airline standards. Clearly it is not normal by normal standards.)

More to the point - should I wait around for a reasonable one way fare? Or are these fares likely to stay, so I'll just have to book the roundtrip one?
