But is the fare IAD-DEN + DEN-SFO or IAD-SFO? If it is pricing the same odds are it is just an end-on-end fare so the amount of time in DEN doesn't matter at all. Without the details of what you're actually searching it is not possible to confirm this. What specific date are you looking at?
