I am flying from Europe to Newark with SAS, then onward to San Francisco with United. It will be my first experience with United and I am a bit worried after hearing dreadful rumours of domestic US flights. So I am wondering if there's any tips and tricks to make the 6 hour flight as comfortable as possible for a 190cm tall adult as myself.

I've discovered the possibility of upgrading to Economy+ for added legroom, and I think ill jump on that if there's no better alternative. Any thoughts? I am offered the Economy+ upgrade for $89 but the seat is marked with "Limited recline". Any input? Im on a 737-900 on my way down, and the 767-300 on the way back.

And will my EBG give me any benefits here?
