Pages 19/20 of UA's CoC would make this a very bad move...

"RULE 21
REFUSAL TO TRANSPORT
UA shall have the right to refuse to transport or shall have the right to remove from the aircraft at any point, any Passenger for the following reasons:...1)
Passengers whose conduct is disorderly, offensive, abusive, or violent;...16)
Passengers who have or cause a malodorous condition (other than individuals qualifying as disabled);"

Tell your child to behave and give him/her a bath. It isn't the other passener's fault that they booked before you and took all of the good (aisle/window) seats and left you, who booked after them with center seats.

And those who say they can't get worse seats than what tey have, th OP said they have 3 verticaly adjoining seats. 3 separate not conjunctive centers would beworse. Be careful what you wish for, as it often can get worse.
