I recommend a no annual fee for your first credit card. This is a card you want to keep for a long time.

How old are you?

Chase Freedom would be my recommendation for now. Save up on the UR points, then apply for the Sapphire Preferred in the future and use it to transfer your saved UR points to - then you can convert them to airline miles.

As you build credit history you can apply for better credit cards. Even still the Chase Freedom is a great card to have.
