Asian veg kind of backfired on me about two months back (though it was transpacific). You know those frozen bags of peas and carrots? I had a 'curry' that consisted of peas and carrots in what I think was butter with a bit of curry powder mixed in and some rice. I think the breakfast wanted to be saag aloo. I hate cooked spinach, so that was a bust for me, but it was at least recognisable as an actual dish. At least, I think that was the breakfast. I have no memory of the food on the return flight; it's been obscured by the the absurdity of the peas and carrots.
