I was just on delta metal A330 finishing a TATL and had a question about the magic middle compartment in the middle of the plane.

1. I've never seen a handicapped restroom on an airplane before, is this some new standard that new retrofits need to comply with? (this plane has one)

2. Behind this door was another non-passenger door which I saw two FA's go into -- but it appeared to only lead into another barely tiny bathroom on the other side of the existing HC restroom. Are there stairs to a lower crew rest section or something here?

I'm almost always on 764's and I think I might have a new favorite with 11C and 11F on this 330.
