I have 2 legs on CA, one on LH, and 2 on US. Will have to figure out something for PEK without a visa and something in FRA
Thinking back to the last time I bought a multicarrier ticket through my corporate travel agent, the transaction posted something like this:

US AIRWAYS MIAMI LAKES FL $100.00
DEUTSCHE LUFTHANSA DBA LUFTHANSA MIAMI LAKES FL $250.00
SINGAPORE AIRLINES MIAMI LAKES FL $500.00

Obviously, Florida was where the travel agent was.

As to PEK, I believe you need a visa unless you have an onward ticket within 24 hours (48 hours at PVG, for whatever reason) - this info assumes you're a US citizen. Last time I had to overnight in FRA was due to a flight cancellation and I just did the same thing I do when going there on business - hop on the train to the downtown station (Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof) and stay at one of the hotels there.
