For earn/burn AA is a lot better than QF, especially as you start with AA plat status (OW sapphire = QF gold) which helps in your QF earn. Just look at burning charts & co pay fees. But reward flights on QF are hard to find at times

For many pax here in Aust priority boarding means staying in the QF club and boarding last.
