I have a Delta flight from O'hare to JFK, arriving at 6:45 PM (Dec 15th).
Then I'm booked on a flight to Iceland leaving at 8 PM.

Assuming the Delta flight is on time and they can transfer my bag to Icelandair, I should be aable to get to Terminal 7 in time, right?

However, I'm worried about the Delta flight not being on time and have no idea about how frequently that happens. Are we talking about 2% of these flights or 20%?
