What is the most times you ever changed an itinerary?

It is getting ridiculous. I have a trip next week that has had so many date/route/time changes that the change fees are now 150% of the original ticket price. One of the flights is on AB so there is a link (somewhere).

Most of the changing we do is on KL and is relatively easy and painless, even on an el-cheapo ticket. You pay the €70 change fee and that's it. However, apparently BA is much more difficult. A colleague who needed to change a flight from LHR to HAM was better off buying a one way on LH.

So, how often has it happened to you that a ticket changed so much it was more expensive than buying a fully flex? What is your experience with BA like?
