If the OP is looking to travel to PP and stay at a Sofitel-esque, western hotel, this is not the place. If theyre're looking for local charm, an excellent homemade breakfast with fresh pressed juice, and rates that reflect the region...this is it.
Today is loaded fine. Such is life in Cambodia.

It's got an interesting location in north of one tourist area, adjacent to an expat area and west of the river (another tourist area).

Seems rather pricey for spartan rooms.. at least they look spartan from the few photos. The grounds look nice though.

There are precious few hotel chains in Cambodia. Sofitel and Raffles in PNH and REP. Le Meridien in REP. That's about it. No Marriotts.
