That was a great explanation - something that the good folk at EWR couldn't manage.

I don't have any problem with the arrangement. What I objected to was a complete lack of signage to explain the restriction, and a lack of explanation from the guy that bounced me.

I guess I was just unlucky on the day but it doesn't feel great to learn the non-obvious rules by being busted rather publicly.
