It works the other way around sometimes, too. UA has just pulled most of their W availability on 12/21-12/22 LHR-East Coast, so that daytime flights are only available in U and above … unless you buy the Lufthansa version of the transatlantic flight. This is especially silly in light of the UA/LH revenue-sharing agreement.
