Regarding rooms on the top floor:
As in most European hotels, the top floor used to be for the servants and is sort of in the attic. I hate dormer windows and sloping ceilings, so I avoid them.
I booked directly into a suite (regular rooms were sold out, and it was right before the category increase, so it turns out that the old suite rate was the new regular rate for awards), and got one on top. Asked to be changed, they couldn't the first night but said they would move me the next day.
They moved me to the presidential college suite. Fantastic. Two rooms above, four rooms below. One of the rooms above was a library, the other had a treadmill infront of a great TV. Living Room was huge, Dining Room gorgeous.
They made fans for life.
