I've had over an hour at Immigration, but don't consider that a serious delay. I would expect at least an hour at most busy airports.

I've never had a delay at customs, that's always been a breeze.

People miss connecting flights all the time because they don't have enough time to make it through immigration, pick up their bags, clear customs, clear security, and then get to the gate.
