Presumably diamondclub.org is required to transfer the miles to BA to avoid the exclusivity agreement with American Express.
It'll be interesting to see what will appear on diamondclub.org - the first loyalty scheme where all you can do is earn point to transfer to another scheme.
Perhaps they should allow the ability to transfer to Iberia and Avios.com too.
