Hi, I'm looking at an international flight which is wide open in first, but fully booked in Business Class.

Can I buy a J ticket, receive an Economy seat waitlisted to Business, but use an award to upgrade from J to F ?

I.e., is the upgrade from the ticket class (J) or the assigned seat (Y).
