A slightly tangential correction, but it can be quite difficult for someone who doesn't have hearing loss to fully understand how difficult it can be for those who do have it; it isn't always about speaking or being spoken to directly. For example, someone with no hearing loss may not even notice that the way to know the shuttle bus has arrived is via a spoken announcement--without a reader board or other visual to key off of, someone with hearing loss may not even know the shuttle has arrived and the time has come to board.
