So there I was, on my first 737-800 flight. I was A16 (no Biz Select ahead of me and I had my choice of seats in the emergency row).

As you may know there are three emergency rows with two emergency exit doors. The middle row on both sides are LUV seats.

On the -300/-700 series I sit on the port side window seat so I have a tray table to put my laptop instead of the (for lack of better name) lounge chair which is opposite of me.

On the -800 the first two rows of emergency do not recline. And the last row of emergency window seat are the lounge chair.

This is all a long way of asking, what is the best seat in the emergency row of the 800 series?

Also I learned from the FA that the 800 series tray tables are defective and most of them are broken. It is the most commonly broken thing on the plane.
