So what happens if the switched on phone drops there while in the air?

Circling over LHR hoping for the phone battery to run dry before the fuel tanks do? And then a tragic end? Or would *shudder* rules be broken and the flight lands with a switched on electronic device?

But thanks for the warning. I shall pay close attention to my phone the next time I'm in F.
