If you have free seat selection through status or because of ticket booking class, the same should apply to redemption tickets.
As a Silver, I've never had problems selecting my seat (for free) at the time of booking for redemptions as long as it's a BA flight.
With non BA flights, it can be a faff to get seats assigned on some OW partners, but that's not just for redemption flights.
I'm talking about free seat selection. I understood that with a Club Europe redemption ticket I could select my seats for free before OLCI, except for those seats reserved for Gold exec club members. This agent said I couldn't, but I wanted to check whether I was wrong or not.
On Manage my booking, for CE legs, it says the e-ticket has not been issued, but when I call in to BAEC, they say that they have. This I think is the cause of my problem. However, after 3 long international calls I don't seem to be able to get this changed.
