One of the benefits of retiring this year is I can finally give up air travel for the most part. I don't think I will ever forgive the airlines for the constant nickel and diming through fees and rewards cards for advertising "free" flights for 25,000 air miles. After collecting 1 mill+ air air miles I gave up trying to redeem them for travel and exchanged them for overpriced merchandise, but better than losing them. I also stopped flying anywhere I can drive in 12 hours or less. I now have the time and enjoy driving and hate anything to do with air travel, TSA and airlines. I doubt I will ever go back to enjoying the friendly skies.
