To be honest, I don't know. I usually sit in the aisle of the middle section and the only difference I noticed was the solid wall in front of row 11 versus the partial wall separating row 8 from the first class section.
I am only 5'11" and have never had leg room issues in either row. This includes putting my roll-on bag in front of me with a pillow on top to serve as "flat" leg rest.
