I don't like...

That redeption rates keep going up. Why? Only airline greed. Sure, there is inflation in airline costs. But, that is why revenue ticket prices go up. To charge more miles is hitting the customer twice.

With UA, at lest, one cannot build non-standard connections into an award reservation; it prices each as a seperate leg. One must speak with an agent, which would be fine, but they should not charge an agent fee to book what their technology does not allow one to book online.

That some carriers still don't allow one-way awards.

That one must pay surcharges. Taxes, okay, they go to the government. But surcharges go to the airline, and its not right to be asked to pay them for "free travel."

That one cannot do geographically logical routings which connect in a third -- e.g. ATH-CMN-JFK -- without being charged as if visiting that region.

That miles expire.
