so called 'luxury' ski hotels are high on ski credentials - low on actual hotel keeping

few exceptions - my friends assure me that Le Blizzard in Val is incredible.

Where some have great suites - the cuisine lets them down... where some have good service - the facilities leave a lot to be desired. In North America and Canada - we gravitate to Aman and Four Seasons for our luxury ski holidays as we find exactly the same problem there.
i seem to recall michelin starred restaurants?
dont know your sources, but some are not reliable like this forum.

where are you seeing negative stuff on aurelio lech for example? ah, only 1 big no budget suite?
there are hotels with apartments and chalets.. including contemporary..

aman does own, FS only leases vancouver
chain = mgmt

Agree re Four Seasons too! Would be great if they opened up something similar to Jackson Hole and Whistler in Europe.
hmm

authentic meaning?

excluding airelles because not contemporary?
if no budget, they have 2/3BR suites, 4BR apartment, ?BR chalet
IIRC several ski-in and/or ski-out accommodations

Le Melezin doesn't get a lot of reviews and is pretty confidential (far less known than les Airelles, le Kilimandjaro and Cheval Blanc in France at least) so can't comment on that and trip advisor reviews don't seem reliable at all.

What sucks, at least as a french person (we do have a problem when it comes to showcasing money ) with Le Melezin and Cheval Blanc, is that you will be really bothered by Russian billionnaires with heavily armed bodyguards who showcase their wealth in the most outrageous way ( the things i've seen there in 20 years .... just consider that legality doesn't bother them
Les Suites de la Potinière = "wealthy ghetto" ? its contemporary with apartment

is le melezin a "wealthy ghetto" or not ?
