I have to admit, the reason I am on here is I don't have much knowledge of skiing in Switzerland - and yes, my research shows that the skiing is pretty basic in Gstaad.... but are you sure about Andermatt?

I'm reading some amazing articles about the insane off piste skiing surrounding Andermatt with some really difficult runs. The options for our kids look great too. Dinner last night with a friend who learnt to ski there seems to confirm this. I think that its slipped off everyone's radar - but as Andre points out in an earlier post - there are some serious development plans there.

Have you heard about the confirmed ski expansion deal with neighbouring Sedrun? http://skiequipmentguide.co.uk/swiss...big-expansion/

The reason I find deciding so hard is that not even my love of world class skiing beats my love of first class hotel keeping - and sorry guys, but many of the suggestions you are giving me are decidedly not world class hotels

Its still Aman's Le Melezin, The Chedi Andermatt and The Alpina Gstaad for me - unless anyone can top those? Wish Four Seasons would open up in the area!
