Some of the BA flights are operating from Terminal 1 (former BMI and BMI Regional flights). The flight number start with 8***.
I am not sure you'll be able to check the baggage through to BA although that depends upon the first carrier.
Any ways, with two separate tickets I would not book any connection under 3 hours.
