This is one of several reasons that I can't understand why row 12 is preferred seating. Give me row 13 any day. Not that the curtain is ever touching me or in front of my IFE. It's just claustrophobic and irritating to have a curtain blocking your forward view like that. I'm no huge fan of row 1 for the same reason, though at least there the wall is quite a bit further up.

I've been pinned in the corner by the window by those larger folk in seats next to me and the full recliner in J plus the middle seat pull out screen....give me exit row or lucky row 13 any day.
