CW travel is certainly achievable a couple of times a year for many professional people if they are willing to make it a priority.

Isn't that a bit of a hollow or false comparison?
How many people would actually completely forsake any semblence of a social life (and for someone who goes out, religiously, 2 nights a week for 50 weeks of the year, that's quite a social life!) just to have one trip in CW?
PS - please tell me where this couple lives, the free taxis and childminders and cheap socialising would make this a great place to settle!
