You use the United app to get the mobile BP as before. The mobile BP has an "add to passbook" button.

Worked great for me for my 4 flights yesterday (Sat) and I don't know if it was the United app or the Passbook app, but i rec'd a gate change notification on my lock screen (nice feature ^ but if I could only get the sounds (and vibration) to play for United and passbook [and yes, they are both turned on ]))
