This poster cites a Greek TV station spreading this news.

Exit is planned for 1/1/13 with Aegean becoming a LCC ala Ryanair.

I have no idea about the validity of this claim. I could not find any English news either.

I have to admit it makes quite a bit of sense given that A3 has no long haul fleet they won't have too much trouble changing their tariff structure and make more money with fees and less with fares. Plus Greece/Turkey is not yet overpopulated with LCC bases.
