I just did 4 legs in F with CX. On Friday lunchtime I flew from MXP to HKG and the cabin manager was in the galley in front of F talking to a FA. Some guy who is top tier with Qantas was demanding an upgrade as he always get them with both AA and QF. He was going on about the fact if he had known he wouldnt get an automatic upgrade due to his status he would have paid for business class. I was thinking what a pratt, as he obviously got to Milan and I guess he hadnt paid for business class on the way over. I fly that route almost every month in business class and it is always packed out before check in. Not sure where cathayboy gets his facts from but most European flights are far from empty and I know this because my travel agent every month is constantly booking flights for me and he never gets the first options we ask for due to being full flghts
