I agree with the sentiments above. By a J ticket from an outport with good J fares. About the only time I can guarantee an op up are flights going to India. I have gotten it every single time flying to both DEL and BOM.

I know a lot of people with AA EXP expect an op-up on CX flights. It happens much less these days as CX takes care of its own frequent flyers first.

This is the reason why I have banked most if not all my flights on CX as I get much better treatment being a CX Gold compared to an AA EXP.
