Doing LGW-LHR on a Friday in rush hour is pretty risky, could take a loooooooong time.
The direct flight is available, but it is too early for me so isn't an option unfortunately. I am just going to book this BA option and hope nothing goes wrong- if it does, it does, I can always get the train or get the Flybe at 0830 from LGW on the Saturday morning- I think I need to be in Newcastle for about 1030 on Saturday morning.
Shame I can't go a bit earlier really, would love a bit more time at T5!

cornishsimon- I can book JER-LGW with BA and LGW-NCL with BE, but it's £600 return? Not sure what's going on here!
