Need advice re a five-hour midnight layover in LIM
I just booked award tix (via AA miles) to fly SFO-LIM-CUZ next August on LAN. We'll arrive LIM 12:05 a.m. (in J, on a Saturday, FWIW) and then depart for CUZ (on Y, since no J on those flights) at 5:15 a.m. Did a search and came up empty, so I could use some advice:
1. Is there a lounge to hang out in at LIM during the middle of the night?
2. If not, is there any other place decent in the airport to pass the time?
3. Another thread indicated that immigration at LIM can be a zoo at that hour, with very long lines. Is that still the case?
4. About how long will it take for us to get through immigration and then to departures for the CUZ flight? (FWIW, we'll have only carry-on bags).
5. I'm a One World Emerald. Does that help us out with any of the above?
(FWIW, we conceivably could reverse our itinerary for our overall Peru trip, simply heading into a hotel in Lima after arrival, then catching a bus to Paracas that afternoon, then later flying to CUZ and the Sacred Valley a few days later. But right now we're leaning toward doing the SV first, unless there's some great logistical advantage to reversing the order.)
Anyway, thanks for any help!
