Flying LIT-DAL-HOU, and trying to spend more time in DAL, so there are a ton of later DAL-HOU flights. Just need to know if this is possible to do on arrival in DAL, or if the 4 hour maximum is absolute. Thanks.
4 hours is the max. If you somehow miss your connecting flight by less than 2 hours, you would probably be allowed to stand by for free. (I'm not sure that the flat tire rule applies when you were already at the airport!) If the day's remaining flights are full you would then be out of luck.
