Thank you for the advice. I wasn't aware that they would have a wooden cane for me. I know I shouldn't count on that being provided, but I can definitely make it through a metal detector if I can use a wooden cane. When I called "TSA Cares" (yeah right), they told me I can only use the walk-through metal detector if I can walk unassisted.
