True, but in practice random gropes are very unlikely. I will not allow a random grope - I'm always prepared to walk away from my flight if they threaten me with that kind of assault, but in practice I've never had to do that. (I did walk away from another flight after being given an unacceptable choice of radiation or fondling. Usually I re-route through airports/checkpoints that don't have scanners, just got bad information about that one.)
Now, a wheelchair is entirely different - that seems to be a 100% chance of grope, which means 100% chance I will refuse screening, so why even show up to the airport? When I can walk, I'm just playing the lottery. If I know my ticket is a loser, I shouldn't walk in and try to cash it.
I was asking whether there's a chance of hopping or using wooden crutches to get through a walk-through metal detector, since I know that's what's at my checkpoint.
