If we forget the MIA/FLL stopover, does it make a difference if my award was DTW-TPA? Will I be flown SEA-DTW?
Really just trying to understand the "nearest gateway" rule. SEA-TPA seems so limiting when there are numerous ways to route it.
Appreciate the input.
If you start in SEA and end up in TPA, then your award is SEA-TPA.
As doesn't fly to DTW. But it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to route you through PDX, LAX, ORD, MSP, or some other place AS DOES fly to assist in getting you to your destination, provided that Super Saver award availability is there, and it doesn't in the opposite direction of your destination.
