Are you trying to get a stopover in Miami?
My goal is to fly SEA-TPA for 25K. Lack of availability has me seeking alternatives, i.e. an overnight stopover in MIA or FLL both directions. I picked this scenario in hopes of flying SEA-FLL or SEA-MIA nonstop.
If we forget the MIA/FLL stopover, does it make a difference if my award was DTW-TPA? Will I be flown SEA-DTW?
Really just trying to understand the "nearest gateway" rule. SEA-TPA seems so limiting when there are numerous ways to route it.
