Basically if you have a new account and no points posted then it is inactive. I called Iberia in Spain yesterday and I needed to move points from BA to IB. They guy looked at my account and told me that since I had no transactions it was inactive and transfers are not possible. I just bought 2000 miles for 54 Euros and it was active immediately. Transfer went through and redeemed my award
