There's definitely something going on at T5 today too. I've just connected International to Domestic through Fastrack (there's a new route for connecting Domestic Fastrack customers that goes round the back of the escalators to join the Fasttrack queue, which is a welcome change) but even that queue was being held up at the bottom of the escalator.

I went to the farthest away security queue, nearst the North Lounge and it was sloooooow. There was a lot of activity with more staff than normal looking at the scanner screens and it was taking a lot longer than usual for each tray to be screened, causing delays back in the queues. The staff were a lot more shouty than I've seen them in the past, telling people to put liquids, gels etc into plastic bags regularly and loudly.

Despite that, there were still some idiots getting to the tray loading area then slowly getting out ever piece of makeup form their washbag and only then asking for a plastic bag. Infuriating.

I felt good high up on my moral perch, loading up my trays quickly with my electrical items and picking everything up at the other end, only then realising Id put my CW washbag in my laptop bag, and there it stayed.

It didn't get spotted at security, but I did feel a tad guilty
