I've read all the the replies but I can still understand the OP's annoyance as he was directed to the credit card while purchasing a ticket on United.com. It isn't hard to assume you are on a United flight. I certainly don't read all the
fine print of every contract I enter with regards to travel, especially flights and cruises. Buyer beware.
